About the author

I’m Samuel Pacheco, a software engineer at Meta working in data warehousing. I’ve set out to learn as much infrastructure as I can. Databases have held my interest for a while; now I’m looking into file systems, operating systems, machine learning and low-level hardware, and I’m always interested in math.

I have a full bookshelf of technical books to work through. This blog is where I write down what I learn from them: my notes on the ideas I find interesting, from someone building a broad base of knowledge rather than an expert in any one corner of it.
